Soroptimistische Freundschaft mit Japan

Seit Ende 2019 gibt es eine offizielle Freundschafts-Verbindung zwischen Wuppertal und Nagoya:
Die Soroptimistinnen des Clubs Wuppertal haben einen offiziellen Friendship-Link zu den Soroptimistinnen in Nagoya, Japan, aufgebaut.

Initiiert wurde dies durch die Sopranistin Elena Fink, die im Dezember 2018 Konzerte in der Millionenstadt Nagoya gab und dort Kontakt zu den japanischen Clubschwestern aufgenommen hat.
Aus diesem sehr inspirierenden Treffen ist nun eine feste Verbindung geworden, die den internationalen Austausch zwischen den Kulturen ermöglicht. Besonders bei den Themen der Soroptimistinnen, die sich vor allem für die internationale Verständigung und die Interessen von Frauen engagieren.

Im Rahmen einer weiteren Konzertreihe in Nagoya Ende Januar 2020 hat Elena Fink die offizielle Urkunde an die Präsidentin Etsuko Yahiro überreicht. Gelebt wird die Verbindung über die digitalen Medien und geplante persönliche Treffen.

Soroptimist Friendship with Japan

Since the end of 2019 there is now an official friendship link between Nagoya and Wuppertal:

The members of the Soroptimist Club Wuppertal have established an official friendship link with the members of the Soroptimist Club in Nagoya, Japan. This was set up on the initiative of the soprano singer Elena Fink, who gave concerts in the city of Nagoya and made contact with the Japanese club. What started initially as an inspiring meeting is now a firm contact, enabling international exchange between the two cultures, especially on those topics:

international communication and the interests of women, for which the Soroptimists stand. While performing a further concert in Nagoya at the end of January 2020 Elena Fink presented the official certificate to the President Etsuko Yahiro.

Using digital media the clubs can keep in close contact and visits are planned for the future.
