As soroptimists, we want to take responsibility in society. We do this with the party political neutrality, religious tolerance and fair dealing with each other. Soroptimist International Germany has prepared a guide for the implementation of the club life for the SI clubs. These points are individually designed and complemented by each club and form the basis for our club life:

  • Each occupation or activity should be represented in a club only by an active member.
  • A member can only become who is asked to.
  • Presentations, reports, discussions from the professional and life world of the members or invited guests are the focus of the monthly meetings.
  • The diversity of professions and the plurality of opinions allow a high level of information, insights and exchange of ideas.
  • Soroptimists understand friendship as an attitude of human and spiritual openness and mutual helpfulness. They cherish hospitality all over the world. Each member can attend club meetings around the world.
  • Soroptimists are active in matters of women's legal, social and occupational security and include their comments in the public debate. For example, Soroptimist International Germany is a member of the German Women's Council. In addition to this socio-political commitment, soroptimists realize their goals through social projects.
